The Mandrel Group, a manufacturer of mandrels, mandrel rebuilds and repairs, reached out to us in search of a vendor for metal nameplates that could withstand the harsh conditions of a heavy-duty industrial environment.

Etching is a process by which a chemical is used to remove targeted areas of a particular metal. The etched areas are then filled with colored enamels and baked for lasting permanence. Since the paint is below the surface of the etched metal nameplate, it is less susceptible to abrasion.

Using our etched aluminum tags, Roemer was able to fulfil the customer’s longevity requirement while also providing a lightweight material that would allow etched information to properly identify each piece of equipment. Our customer loved the plates and will be ordering from Roemer again.
